Traverse SAFETY

Packed with features like Chevrolet Safety Assist, Blind Zone Steering Assist and more, every All-New Traverse comes equipped with more standard safety features than ever before to help keep you and your passengers safe on the road.

Front Pedestrian Braking with Bicyclist Braking | Blind Zone Steering Assist | Rear Cross Traffic Braking | Automatic Emergency Braking | Safety Alert Seat

Safety or driver assistance features are no substitute for the driver’s responsibility to operate the vehicle in a safe manner. The driver should remain attentive to traffic, surroundings and road conditions at all times. Visibility, weather and road conditions may affect feature performance. Read the vehicle Owner’s Manual for more important feature limitations and information.

When in Reverse, can alert you to detected pedestrians directly behind your vehicle. It has limited nighttime and low visibility performance.

Allows you to set a cruise control speed and automatically follow a detected vehicle ahead at a driver-selected following gap. If no vehicle is detected in your path, the feature works like regular cruise control. You can always override the feature and take control.

Alerts you to a detected bicyclist that is approaching a side blind zone. Also, during a brief time after parking, the feature can alert you when a detected bicyclist is approaching so you don't open your door.

Can help you avoid or reduce the severity of an intersection collision with a detected cross-traffic vehicle. It provides alerts and can even automatically provide hard emergency braking or enhance the driver's hard braking.

Uses a brief steering wheel turn to alert you when it detects you are unintentionally drifting out of your lane lines. If needed, you may receive additional Lane Departure Warning alerts. System alerts do not occur if you're using your turn signal, or it detects you may be intentionally leaving your lane.

There’s a lot more to the Chevrolet safety story, and we’re committed to making sure you can start every drive with some peace of mind.

This system uses a brief, gentle steering wheel turn to alert you when you may be unintentionally drifting out of detected lane lines, so you can steer to stay safely in your lane. If needed, you may receive Lane Departure Warning alerts. System alerts do not occur if you're using your turn signal or it detects you may be intentionally steering.

Can provide you with the following gap time in seconds between your vehicle and a detected vehicle you're following. This can help you decide if you're following much too closely.

Can automatically turn the vehicle's high beam headlamps on and off according to surrounding traffic conditions.

Rear Park Assist can provide distance alerts to nearby detected objects behind your vehicle to help you park and avoid collisions when you're in Reverse at low speeds.

HD Rear Vision Camera shows you the image of the area directly behind your vehicle when you're in Reverse at low speeds. This may help you park and avoid nearby objects.

Side Blind Zone Alert can provide side-mirror visual alerts when a detected moving vehicle is quickly approaching or is in your side blind zone. It can help you avoid lane change collisions.

This feature is coming soon to the 2024 Traverse.
