The fun to drive 2.0L turbo engine on Equinox and Terrain is paired with a 9-speed automatic transmission and offers 252 horsepower with 260 lb.-ft. of torque. Plus, it offers the power to tow. Simply press the Tow/Haul mode button and the transmission will automatically assist you in hauling heavy loads. RAV4 does not offer a comparable option.
Interior Space and Cargo Room

The Equinox and Terrain also has a longer wheelbase for a smoother ride on the highway. The RAV4 may have more cargo volume but the Equinox and Terrain has more front and rear legroom plus earlier entry into power seat options.
Tech Perks

Built-in 4G LTE with available Wi-Fi hotspot and Android Auto are not available on the RAV4. Hands-free voice recognition is standard on all Equinox and Terrain models but are not available on RAV4 LE models. A 120V AC Power Outlet is only available on RAV4 Trail AWD but available or standard on 6 Equinox models.
